All decisions affecting your community are best made by you, your fellow citizens and locally elected officials. This is why our experts are prepared to come directly to your community to help guide and assist you in developing strategies to assert the local position during the federal and state planning processes.
Generally, as follow up to a coordination training seminar, we will work with the local governments that have committed or expressed a strong interest in using the coordination process. We charge an annual fee of $1500 to the local governments which helps support our services.
Working one-on-one with the elected leaders, their staff, and citizens, strategies can be developed and refined in a specific manner to support the local goals. This can also include helping to prepare and/or review the documents necessary to implement the process, help prepare elected officials for the coordination meetings with the agencies, and even help advocate the local government’s position in the coordination meetings themselves, if necessary.

We provide as little or as much support as is needed for your local government to be successful in the coordination process with the agencies. Our ultimate goal is to train your community so that it can develop future strategies for issues as they arise with limited help from us well into the future.
Examples of some of the issues we have helped communities address are:
- Endangered Species
- Travel Management Plans
- New Power Line Construction
- Super Transportation Corridors
- Wilderness Area Plans
- Resource Management Plans
- Forest Plan Revisions
